Bengal Assembly Elections: Several days of peaceful voting today
According to administrative sources, voting is underway at all polling stations through EVMs and VVPAT machines. Strict security measures have been taken to ensure free and peaceful elections.
Voting for the Bengal assembly elections has begun across the state. Voting began in various districts from 7 am on Wednesday and the presence of voters was observed from the very beginning. Central forces and state police have been deployed in sensitive areas in view of the elections. The situation is being monitored through CCTV surveillance and webcasting at various booths.
There was also considerable enthusiasm among young first-time voters, many of whom cited participation in the democratic process as their responsibility.
